Of the two Koenigsegg that were featured in Fast Five, this model is based on the Special Edition variant that both appeared in the 2011 movie and represents the very beginning of Dream Cars 4 Kids.
In 2012, our founder Jonathan Springer coordinated and delivered what would become the organization’s first wish. Nathan, a terminal patient at St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Nashville Tennessee, dreamed of seeing a Koenigsegg before the end. With only a handful of these cars in the U.S. at the time, fulfilling that request seemed impossible. Yet, within just four days, thanks to Jonathan’s connections, the generosity of cars’ owner, and support from the community, this exact Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition arrived at the hospital to surprise Nathan and his family.
This moment sparked a mission.
Dream Cars 4 Kids was formed in 2012 to bring joy, hope, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences to children facing medical challenges. Over a decade later, the organization continues to deliver on Nathan’s legacy, with volunteers across the exotic and sports car communities stepping up to make dreams come true.
